So we headed down from Cape Tribulation destined for the marina town of
Port Douglas ... and a whole day of Scuba Diving out on the Great Barrier Reef!

What we didnt realise is that, unlike the rest of Australia, Port Douglas doesnt like
people in camper vans parking up in car parks or at the side of the road over night!
This lead to an interesting turn of events that included, a 40 minute drive through
the outback @ 01:00am .... two random breath tests and Michael Jackson!

We arrive in Port Douglas only to realise that I'm missing strange smell eminating from our van is my sandles!
I finally manage to fish them out of the Van and spend a good hour decontaminating them ...
The day of the dive, having been evicted from our over night car park campsite and forced to drive a 40 minutes north of Port Douglas @ 01:00am, we were up at the crack of dawn driving back down to Port Douglas. We tracked down our boat and climbed aboard!
Now, the Captain did say that the sea was going to be a little rough on the way out to Agincourt Reef, our dive site for the day. Each passenger was offered sea sickness pills, just in case. Me being me insisted I didnt need them ... and as you could see, I couldnt have been farther from the truth!
We finally make it to Agincourt Reef and hit the ocean, it was one of the most amazing things I have ever done in my life, we saw sharks, eel's more sharks ... Its something I'll never forget!
The Pose on the Barrier Reef .... and absolute Classic!
My Girl and I on the Reef!
After a great day diving its back to the Van for Fish, Chips and mushy peas .... !
